Explore An Effective Revolutionary Approach To Traditional Business Financing

Monday, September 29th, 2008

For business owners who need working capital now there is a revolutionary, tax-deductible cash flow solution that frees up capital and gives them the money they need to grow. This diversified cash flow solutions is known as “asset leasing.”

With an asset lease, business owners can obtain quick cash for any company need by simply selling their equipment and leasing it back. Businesses not only receive immediate working capital or cash, most also realize significant tax savings from converting the assets into liabilities and by deducting the entire monthly lease payment as an operating expense.

This cash flow financing solution is available to all businesses and industries who own virtually any type of equipment including industrial, medical, automotive, food service, construction, office automation, audio/video, printing, packaging and much, much more.

Business owners love the ease and flexibility of this financing vehicle when compared to a traditional bank loan. Bank loans that involve used equipment as collateral are usually time consuming, often requiring substantial application fees, down payments etc. and collateral coverage well above the value of the financing. Most bank loans will also require the business to stipulate in detail exactly how the funds will be used.

With asset leasing, the equipment is the only collateral and the money can be used for any purpose that the business owner has, for example: paying off debt or making tax payments. There are no up-front application fees, and the entire process can be completed quickly and easily by e-mail, fax and phone.

To qualify: the company in most circumstances must simply have at least a two-year time in business, an acceptable credit history and own and the equipment “free and clear.”

The ON World of OFFline marketing

Monday, September 29th, 2008

Ok, now if you’ve started reading this article thinking that its going to be the same story about the business cards carrying your logo and company name, you are right. Hey, dont reach for that back button already. Okay, since business cards is one of the best ways to publicise your site, I had to mention that. But that does not mean it ends here. Read on to discover more.

Now, I mean AFTER you’ve read this article, shut down your computer, give your sore eyes some rest, get that bottom out of that squeaking chair and go out, implement the publicity tricks mentioned here.

Right so, your Bermudas and t-shirts are on, but hey, that brings us to our first suggested trick. Why not wear a t-shirt that’s got your company name logo and a punch-line on it. Come on, don’t put this off the list just because you don’t want to get it printed. I’ve got a better reason to make you search for a screen printer in the yellow pages. You don’t get just one t-shirt done. You get a bunch of t-shirts done, depending upon your budget. And so you wear these t-shirts day in and day out, NO. You distribute it. Whatever your site is based on, its got to have some people visiting it. No matter what you do it’s impossible to have no one visiting it. You can easily get about 10 people on your site, even if you sell skunk.

But this is not what you need. You need more zeros suffixed to that 10 right, and that’s why your reading this article. Okay so find out who these visitors are, try and contact them (you could have already collected their e-mails for newsletters and ask them to send their shipping address). Now, send one of your t-shirts to them as a “gift” or “prize” for something that they have done on your site. Lets suppose if yours is a web hosting firm, they get the t-shirt as a complimentary gift. They happily wear your company’s t-shirt, because they think that they took a right decision since they are already getting returns and you get that much deserved advertisement. Now, if your budget is not astronomical, send your t-shirt across to people only from those areas where your target audience is located.

Now, as an under effect, these people will also send their friends to your site, ‘coz they could also win/get something out of the site, isn’t it. Now, this is where you should start thinking out of the box. You could send Bermudas (not the one your wearing), smart college bags, pens with your company name and website printed on it (really cheap, but then your ‘winner’ is not a moving billboard) and so on. If you target the local market, you could send a pizza delivered to your customers. You could visit a book store, meet the manager, and ask him to place a bookmark in every book that’s sold, and you guessed it, this bookmark has your company name and website written on it.

So basically the possibilities are endless. It all depends on what you are selling; target your marketing technique accordingly. But your product is that funny thing which simply cannot be marketed the way I say right. Wrong. Let’s take the example of a site selling dog food. Now tie up with a pet shop and give a free pack of your best dog biscuit to every customer who has just bought a pup. So, you see, its not that you can’t do it. It’s just that you think that you can’t do it.

Here are some whacky and weird things that I’ve discovered to make your product ‘visible’.

- Hang your white towel in the gym in such a way that your company name sewed with red on the bottom is easily visible.

- Put your site name on your car. Remember how Mercedes is read on back of every, well, Mercedes simply self promoting it. Try to put the site name on the back, coz this is the place most people following you are going to see. Now how you balance the size and color is up to you. Make sure you don’t look desperate with that sticker. It should look as though you are running a satisfied business and it doesn’t matter (though really it does) that whether your pursuit visits the site or not.

- Send out birthday greetings to your best customers and potential customers. No, don’t start searching for e-greetings. I said greetings, physical cards. They hold a lot deeper value compared to its virtual counterpart. And it shows that you are making sincere efforts to please customers. Again, going back to the earlier formula, this will elate your customers and make them loyal customers.

- Take placard to any sporting event. Lets suppose soccer. Go to support your home team in a home match. Take along with you some placards that have a suggest score line with victory to home team written on it, and your site address nicely fixed on the bottom line. Distribute this in the crowd, who first of all display it all around for the T.V. cameras to catch it and then they take it home, preserve it for some time, see your site name often and now become customers. Simple, huh.

Now, one very useful trick to promote your site is one which exists right in our campuses. Confused? Well, let’s clarify. University, college or school students are a great way to put your product across. Its like all bowling pins are stacked together and you just need to roll the ball. Metaphorical. Let’s say, you’ve got a firm selling pets. Now, you could go meet the principal/head/president (or whoever is the authority) to hold a quiz competition in their campus about nature and wildlife or geography or anyother topic which would exhibit your product. Now, this is where you are getting loads and loads of publicity. Try making this a city effort, a state effort, whatever your pocket can handle, and hold these final inter-college events in your premises (hire a hall if you don’t have a decent enough premise). Contact the press; they would love to put your event on page three. Moreover, the students, their friends and all will also become aware about your services.

You could use other competitions also. It might be a karate competition, if your selling martial arts goods, a poster-making competition if your selling stationary, a elocution or debate instead of the quiz and the possibilities are endless.

You could also sponsor a lecture/seminar by people who have been in the field and would not overwhelm you with their charges. This could also get a good press coverage, and if not that, at least a mention in the events section of the news-paper, whereby your companies name is disclosed.

So, having said all this, I don’t think you would disagree that there’s a wired world out there. The sky is the limit for such ideas, and if you get some, please inform me as well. Find contact details in the About the Author section

Store Cards, Credit Cards And Loans – How To Borrow Money Effectively.

Monday, September 29th, 2008

You don’t have to have the lifestyle demands of Paris Hilton to need extra money these days. According to Credit Action, the total UK personal debt was 1,122 billion, a growth of about 10.5% over the previous year and in the UK and each adult in the UK has an average of 4.1 credit cards in their wallet.

In their most recent report, Credit Action also recorded 2.3 million personal loan agreements in the second quarter of 2005. Interesting, the national money education charity discovered a gap between the interest rates advertised for loans and the actual interest rates paid by the borrowers.

So, with such volumes of debt, what is the best way forward in managing your money?

1) Prioritise your spending

Decide what you need to buy and when you need it. If it’s not a necessity, put it to the bottom of the list. With Christmas approaching, it’s important that you have an awareness of your budget. Make a list of things you need to buy – including Christmas presents. Once you have a list, shop around for the cheapest deal – including some internet research. Thirty minutes of surfing the internet could result in significant savings, which will either reduce outstanding debt or contribute to savings.

2) Prioritise your borrowing

If you borrow money, when do you think you’d be able to pay it back? For example, for smaller amounts of money that could be paid within a shorter period of time – a credit card might be the most flexible way of borrowing money. Alternatively, if you need to borrow a larger sum of money and wish to make the repayments over a longer period of time – then a personal loan could be more effective. Do some homework online, sites such as moneynet and moneyfacts provide online financial product guides and price comparison information.

3) Prioritise your requirements

In addition to thinking about how much money you need to borrow and how you want to repay it, you may wish to look at other ways in which your financial products could work for you. Examples include cash-back, reward points, charity donations etc.

4) Never, ever, take out a store card

Whatever the discount the store offers you on the day, remember, it won’t be as a gesture of goodwill. Nearly all store cards carry a vastly inflated rate of interest and they rely on you not being able to pay off the balance in full straight away. There is a strong chance that what you ultimately end up paying – is far greater than the discount on the actual day.

5) Do you really need it?

As Christmas approaches, it’s easy to spend a little extra on clothes, food and drink and presents. However, if you make a list of what you need and stick to it, you’re likely to save yourself more money this way than if you went out impulse shopping.

Avoiding Credit Card Scams

Monday, September 29th, 2008

If you are a first time credit card user or have had credit cards for years, it is important to know about possible scams that you can be exposed to. Although many credit card companies are perfectly honest, there are also many dishonest ones who want to rip you off. If you are unaware of the ways in which you can be conned or misled then you could end up losing a lot of money. Here are some of the worst credit card scams around and how to avoid them:

Debt suspension

Debt suspension offers are sometimes offered by banks as a way to ‘help’ you keep on track with payments. The way debt suspension works is that you pay a certain amount each month so that if you cannot pay your bills then no interest will accrue during this time. Although this might seem like a good idea at first, the benefits are really quite minimal. You cannot use your card whilst you are out of work, and although no interest is being added, your payments are not being paid so once you can work again you still have the balance to pay. In essence you are paying money for something that will not really help you. If you are getting a credit card then make sure that this type of debt suspension offer is not included at a cost to you within your payments. If it is then get it removed and find an independent insurance policy that will help with your payments if you are unemployed.

Advance fees

One of the worst scams around is the advanced fees scam, which targets people are desperate to get hold of a card with good rates. The ‘lender’ will offer you a card at a great rate, but the catch is you have to pay them an administration or approval fee up front so that your application is processed. Once you have paid this fee then you probably will never hear from the company again. If you are ever offered a card but are asked to pay a fee upfront, just refuse. Even if you have poor credit you shouldn’t need to pay fees up front for cards. A lender should either accept or reject your application, and fees are not required.

Credit protection

One of the most common scams around is to add expensive credit protection to your card in case it is lost or stolen. The extra money you pay for this protection is usually very high, and often covers you for very little. If you report your card stolen immediately then it is unlikely that you will lose much, and other insurance policies or consumer laws often cover you already. If you really want protection then get a separate policy from an independent company that will work out a lot cheaper and will allow you to protect all your cards at once.

If you are getting a credit card, then remember to check and double-check all clauses within the agreement you are signing. If anything seems suspicious at all, then do not sign and find a different company. As long as you are aware of the dangers you will find a fair and honest credit card company who can give you great rates.

The Ultimate Guide to E-Marketing (A Review)

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

When you begin in internet and online marketing you often don’t know where to start. Generally, you will surf the internet looking for information on online marketing or internet marketing, and you will run across a guru who will, for a very steep price these days, teach you how to make money in your online venture.

Following the advice of such gurus, you will spend a lot of money on their products and be “encouraged” to buy special products, at a supposed discount, from other “inner-circle” marketers. Your guru will also be available for coaching, but at a high hourly rate.

Is it possible to build a real, legitimate online business on a budget? Yes it is, and business consultant Tom Antion teaches you how.

Antion, a public speaker in addition to a business consultant and the publisher of the Great Speaking ezine, learned internet marketing the hard waythrough much trial and error. At one point he made an association with online marketing legend Corey Rudl, and received an invaluable education. Antion shares his insights in this book.

The book is divided into seven chapters, although the last two are less important than the first five. The five main chapters are organized around Antion’s three-fold method for internet marketing (a “three-pronged attack”)website, email lists, and products. Thus, there are chapters on creating a cost-effective website (including traffic generation and order fulfillmentthe use of an online shopping cart system), the website sales process, creating and distributing a “kickbutt” ezine, and developing products.

Antion discusses the many ways of generating traffic, from using articles to create backlinks to submitting to search engines to using keyword ads. His main focus is building content. To enable such a focus, he suggests creating an ezine. For me, the chapter on creating ezines was the best chapter in the book. Therein, Antion establishes how to create an ezine, why to create an ezine, and how to get subscribers, including the use of pop-up boxes and exit pop-ups.

Once you have created an ezine, the content becomes material for your website and for others to reprint (which will bring more traffic to your site). This material can become the basis for products you can develop, and Antion presents a very strong chapter on product development. For example, he urges marketers not to stop with ebooks, but to develop physical products, CDs and DVDs, courses, etc. Your content can become a goldmine that you can re-use and re-use in a number of different formats.

If there is one weakness to this book, it is that the book is a merely a crash course for beginners; there are no advanced techniques in it. Yet, that is most likely the author’s target market, and those who are exasperated with the high cost of internet marketing materials from the gurus will find all the help they need and more from this low-cost book that really does offer “low-cost/high-return tools and techniques that really work.” With beginning marketers in mind, I rate this book 8/10.

Liberalism – A Mark Too Low A Price Too High

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

After the dance the piper must be paid. To help us calculate the cost of paying the piper we will borrow from the math of physics. In the laws of physics there resides an immutable principle whose exact formulations I do not know, but even a novice like me can know how it works. If you throw logs on a flame (cause), a roaring fire is what you get. (Effect) I know it probably seems too dumb, bothering to explain something so simple. But I for one believe it is the ability to see this that most people have as an ordinary function of the brain that liberals may have been born without. To most of us it is what we call common sense. It is what teenagers seem to lose for a while and what liberals seem to have lost forever, if they ever had it.

The things mentioned in the following list may not be occurring as a direct result of some liberal bill passed in the legislature. But in every case it is a concomitant to some liberal bill, attitude, concession or notion. Let’s do some cause and effect viewing.

Cause: Roe V. Wade the landmark ruling that brought in the abortion practices that exist today.

Effect: The slaughter of upwards of 450 million babies. Notice I didn’t use the word “fetus.” I won’t dignify abortions by hiding them behind a scientific word that is supposed to make it less than murder. My brother asked me a few years ago what I thought the most dangerous place in this country would be. I pondered his question for a while. I thought of cities like Detroit or New Orleans where the murder rate is high. I cannot remember exactly what answer I finally gave him, but I will never forget the answer he finally gave me. He said…the most dangerous place to be in this country right now is a mother’s womb.

Cause: Removal of prayers in the public school system.

Effect: It is now easier for a child to get guns, knives and drugs into a school; than a prayer. The metal detectors, police, sniffing dogs, arrests, expulsions and stiffer punishments may be suppressing this malady to some degree but the real question is, why for the first time in history do children want to bring these things to school. Let’s not let them look to a higher power on the school grounds but watch as they suffer the consequences of being left to lower powers and compunctions. Maybe we should send school kids to give testimony before congress to explain their feelings about these things. The 9/11 commission would not have any more to say about terror than any of our school children who after events like the Columbine Massacre could write the definition for terror. They undoubtedly would start their address to congress with a familiar expression of youth, heard everywhere in our country today. Although I have several degrees from institutions of higher learning I don’t think I could find a more eloquent expression than the one our kids would use…Duh!

Cause: The preoccupation with and the exploitation of sex in Hollywood, TV and the media in general.

Effect: A rise in sexually transmitted diseases now down to the primary school level.
Millions of un-planned pregnancies resulting in abortion or life shattering consequences that children should never have to face, are prevalent countrywide. The hypocrisy of the stars and celebrities is a mockery that no one ever seems to call them out for. Celebrities regularly spew out the language and behavior of free and open sex in movies, sitcoms, and magazines, then appear as great benefactors of youth or those diseased with STDs. They host specials, provide free concerts and write big checks to hospitals and research organizations for the treatment of such diseases. They give new definition to the term …double standard.

Cause: The liberalizing of the media under the guise of the first amendment.

Effect: This is only an article…it would take a book to speak of the effects this farcical notion has produced. In the past few weeks alone, announcements were made about a new channel already up and running in the cable TV industry that is completely devoted to the Gay or Lesbian lifestyle. A new program now in its first run produced by Showtime is called, “Weeds.” It depicts a mother played by actress Mary-Louise Parker, who recently is widowed and sells pot (marijuana, not stove utensils) to supplement her income. In one of the first offerings, Mom not only sells pot to a city councilman but also to a fifteen year old child. She is not arrested or called out by anyone for this, and the show goes on. Americans can now sit with a remote control and wade through from seventy five to two hundred choices provided by satellite or broadband cable companies. I have combed through these channels myself often enough to know that what isn’t geared to the mind of an eight year is pretty much headed toward the toilette. Is this the result of first amendment freedoms? If you really believe that then let me make you the offer I heard in an old country song. Come on out to see the fine ocean front property I’ve got for sale in Arizona.

Cause: A grieving mom who has decided that the sacrifice of her son in Iraq is greater than any other mom’s loss.

Effect: Now a new Jane Fonda type movement is rearing its head complete with seven mouths all speaking, slander, discontent, cowardice, and other morale busting sentiments. I thank God my mother knew when to take her hands off my life enough to let me make my own decisions, and to face the consequences of the same. Haven’t these mistaken moms and their sympathizers been informed that our servicemen are all volunteers? That means no one made them sign up and no one could keep them from doing so…not even mom!

Cause: The ordination of gays in one major protestant denomination, and the call for it in other churches.

Effect: The effect has been no less than devastating. Thousands of Christians are now roaming around to various churches looking for a new spiritual home. With broken hearts for the betrayal in some cases of a lifetime of loyalty, these believers are proof of the ability of liberal policy to touch virtually everyone regardless of race, color or creed. I can remember asking a few gays if they wanted to open their hearts to Christ, repent of their sins and receive him as their savior. But not once did I insist they make me a leader of one of their organizations, groups or clubs. How I wish they might extend the same courtesy to my fellow Christians in any denomination. I promise I would not even think about charging them with discrimination.

The mark for civil discourse, child safety, moral resolve and common decency has been lowered to the point that we may have to come in under the floor to make it through. Extreme, I think not and most Americans don’t either. Yet, whether we like it or not we are all paying the price for this new lower standard, a price like gasoline which is rising faster than we can afford.

Top Rated PS3 Games: Assassin’s Creed

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Assassin’s Creed is certainly one of the most impressive and exciting PS3 Games ever developed by Ubisoft. The same team, which created the outstanding and popular Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, spent two years in order to produce this visually stunning, stylish, and very original game. Assassin’s Creed offers a whole new level of gaming adventure with its awesome lifelike animation, freer movement of the characters, good graphics and sound, and other special features like you’ve never seen before in other PS3 Games.

A quick look at Assassin’s Creed might remind you of other recent and top rating PS3 Games. For, this game boasts of an incredibly controllable hero and an almost lifelike animation just like the Prince of Persia. Moreover, the game has an astounding medieval setting, a visually stunning lifelike cityscapes, and an open-ended game play that is very similar to that of Oblivion. The ps3 game also reminds us of the Thief series for its resourceful, independent, and inconspicuous hero as well as the anti-medieval-establishment background. Then, the open-ended sandbox world of Assassin’s Creed is also comparably with Grand Theft Auto. Amidst certain similarities with other games, Assassin’s Creed is still a standout with its surprising twists and it’s creative and beautifully designed visual style. All these features add to the uniqueness of the game.

“Nothing is true. Everything is permitted.” And so goes the creed of the assassin. These words suggest that anything is possible during the entire game. This exciting and action-packed adventure is set in the late 12th century during the Third Crusade under the leadership of Richard Lionheart. Here, you play as Altair, the fearless and powerful assassin armed with a sword, a wrist blade, and crossbows. The hero is surrounded by aggressive threats in all places and yet he can destroy them all instantly with his fast and cunning counterattacks to his enemies. Assassin’s Creed, indeed, is one of the PS3 Games worth playing.

The people’s reaction to Altair is another thing, which sets apart Assassin’s Creed from the rest of the PS3 Games. While the hero is busy fighting or demonstrating his skills and tactics, you could see the people around visibly frowning or raising their eyebrows as they watch him. A perfect example for this is the scene where Altair attacks a random civilian. As the victim drops to the ground, the villagers stand in shock while others run away from the place screaming.

You might be wondering where the hero’s name comes from. Altair is an Arabic word, which means “the flying eagle.” Indeed, the developers of the game made sure that the character would really live up to his name. If you want to find out why, just watch Altair’s rapid and swift movements each time he faces his opponents. He projects a cool attitude even in the middle of a big fight. Altair is distinct from other heroes in PS3 games with the fact that his movements look so real and good to the players. The game’s animation is simply visually stunning and lifelike. Assassin’s Creed is truly one of the best PS3 Games ever created by Ubisoft. The whole adventure is worth checking out.

Mind Power Through Mindfulness

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

Basic mindfulness exercises put you in a state of awareness where distractions are let go, and your mind power is able to function more effectively. They help you think more clearly and concentrate better. They are also easy exercises to do.

More Mind Power in Minutes

A basic mindfulness exercise starts with sitting down, relaxing and breathing deeply through your nose. Close your eyes and be aware of your breath going in and out. After a minute, move your attention to your body, one part at a time, noting sensations of cold, hot, tight, sore and anything else you identify. In a few minutes, start listening to sounds in the room, without thinking about them. Just listen.

When it feels right, open your eyes and look around as if you are seeing for the first time. Rest your eyes on an object for half a minute, examining it without talking about it in your mind. Then move to another object, and another, while still maintaining an awareness of your body, your breathing, and any sounds. Stay in this state of mindfulness until you are ready to get up.

Being aware of your body, breath and immediate enviroment, puts you more fully “in the moment.” Your mind is in a very receptive state, with fewer mental distractions that prevent clear thinking. Doing a mindfulness exercise before important mental tasks will give you greater mind power, specifically more focus and concentration.

An Even Easier Mindfulness Trick

Try this one today: When you feel stressed, stop, and carefully watch yourself to identify what’s bothering you. Maybe you’re expecting something bad to happen, or an argument is going on just below the surface of your consciousness, or you’re worried about something, or in pain in some way. Make a note of everything you find.

Then deal with these mind-irritants. Make a phone call that’s on your mind, take an aspirin, apologise to whomever you were fighting with. Write things on tomorrow’s list, to get them off your mind. If there’s nothing you can do right now, tell yourself that. Do this exercise, and you’ll feel less stressed, and more able to concentrate on the tasks at hand. You’ll have more mind power today.

Eliminate The Burden Of Debts With Bad Debt Consolidation

Sunday, September 28th, 2008

The burden of debts had almost eaten me up in the past. I used to get threatening calls from the lenders I had borrowed money. Because of this I even got denounced as a bad debtor. I took a sigh of relief when a friend told me about the bad debt consolidation service.

Bad debt consolidation is the process of clubbing multiple debts into one. If you have witnessed the problem of arrears, defaults, County Court Judgment or bankruptcy, bad debt consolidation is the best option for you.
