If Your Shoes Could Do the Talking Instead of the Walking

Friday, June 5th, 2009

The first pair of footwear was created for only one purpose, protection. What kind of protection? Well, for starters, protection from the cold, the heat, rocks and other elements that can possibly hurt your feet. They were not designed for comfort, a special event or fashion purposes as it is now, this is a different story…thank goodness.

Nowadays, when you go to a shoe store, you get a huge variety of footwear for your money. Now imagine what can be offered to you online!

Now you have sandals, flip-flops, for hot days, flats, dressy shoes for comfort, business or special events. Fashion is not a luxury as it makes a statement and is reflected in all styles of footwear.

If you are involved in sports, the right footwear is very important and it can even prevent injuries. Comfort and style are both important features. Specialty footwear such as cleats for soccer or spiked shoes for golf is a must when playing these sports. After all, you want to be able to have fun and perform well without worrying about slipping and sliding.

Designer shoes are also important if you are looking for unique styles and fashion. You may have your preference in certain designers, especially if your feet are enjoying them as well.

Orthopedic footwear also offers important features for feet in need of special attention. Heel spurs, flat feet and other problems affecting your feet need special care after all the stress and pressure they deal with on a daily basis, the least that you can do is to take good care of them.

Slippers, boots and specialized work boots are all designed to take good care of your feet and should not be taken lightly.

Bottom line, take good care of your feet and you will be rewarded. Be proud of your feet; treat them with comfort, style and quality. Affordable prices can provide all this as well.

What are you really looking for? For once, why not let your feet do the talking before the walking?

My name is Sylvie Leochko. For years I have chosen low prices over comfort and my feet suffered because of it. Like you, I know how important good quality footwear is important. If you wish to learn more about footwear, I invite you to visit this site: http://footwear.findoutnow.org

How to Maximize Your Profits By Using Niche Traffic

Thursday, May 7th, 2009

Niche traffic is by its very definition an area that needs very targeted campaigns and sites if you want to make money. What attracts internet marketers to this sort of visitor is that if you correctly target the right niche it is very profitable.

This is because you can get to the top of search engines more quickly and easily if there is less competition – and also if you run pay per click campaigns you can appear on page 1 of the search results for minimal outlay.

It is the opposite strategy to marketing to the masses. What you are looking for is very tightly defined groups of people and probably not many online searches per month. However you know that they are a “hot” market for the product you are selling.

It may be counter intuitive at first – but you should find your niche market first – before you fit a product to that niche market. Don’t make the mistake of finding what you think is a marvelous product and then trying to find the niche market to sell it to.

There are some great tools to help you in your research. Good Keywords is an excellent way of finding what people are typing into various search engines. And even better, it’s free. Just type Good Keywords Softnik Technologies into your search engine to find their free download site. Once downloaded you can brainstorm your keywords and see what is being typed in by surfers.

What you are looking for is not the massively searched words – but the words not being searched often. These are your hot niche traffic words. You may for example end up with 20 words or phrases getting 50 searches each. This would give 1000 searches a month. Niche markets often convert at 5% so this could give you 50 sales. Pretty good for a small level of traffic. To put this in context often a mass traffic site will convert at below 0.5% – sometimes way, way below. Think how much money they waste in advertising and search engine optimization!

Of course the art is in finding a lot of niche traffic keywords so that you can put up enough ppc ads, or optimized web pages to get traffic to your site. So research becomes your main focus. It is usually pretty easy to source products when you have your keyword list. Selling ebooks is particularly suited to this niche market strategy, and Clickbank.com has over 10,000 for you to sell.

Adsense – When Should You Use It?

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

Well I have several sites, some of them I apply the AdSense to; to make a few extra pennies and some of my websites I wouldn’t even dream of placing Adsense to.

For example, I will not use AdSense on a site that I wish to sell one product on, especially my own products. This can take your potential prospects away from what you want them to buy. Why would you risk losing them to your competition or to another site for a few lousy cents? Or dollars if you got the “higher” end priced AdSense ads on your site.

All sites where I am selling a specific product will not have any out going links for me. I want to keep them on my site for as long as possible.

However, I will use AdSense on sites that are more along the lines of “Free Content” websites. Usually these websites I set up, I use directly for making money with AdSense.

What’s interesting with AdSense is that your layout can have a detrimental affect on how much you can earn from using it. Of course testing and re-testing will be your ultimate tool in finding out what works best with your website.

I tend to stay clear of the lay out that looks like Google’s sponsored ads on the main Google website. Everyone identifies these ads as “paid” and not as likely to have as many people to click through them.

Adsense can be a nice little profitable tool if used correctly.

Do High-Paying Adsense Keywords Really Work?

Saturday, April 11th, 2009

That’s what I want to talk to you about today. A lot of people try and find on the Internet places where they can buy or get hold of the highest-paying AdSense keywords. The idea is that if you have the right keywords you can actually generate dollars per click. Rather than being paid just a few cents per click from your AdSense ads, if you use the right keywords you can actually generate several dollars per click.

Now a lot of people are advertising for these types of services and these types of high-paying AdSense keyword lists, but do they really work? Well I’ve tried a lot of them out and some of them are better than others. There are free lists out there and, obviously, in this life you get what you pay for. The free lists generally aren’t worth anything at all and really aren’t worth investing your time in.

Some of the paid lists are quite useful. What you should remember though, is that on top of getting the keyword lists you need to actually create the content that includes these keywords on your website.

Just having access to the keywords isn’t going to be enough to generate lots of high-valued clicks for you. If you combine a high-paying keyword list with lots of great content that includes those keywords, then you’re actually starting to get into the realm of high-paying AdSense ads.

Google itself will sometimes implement ’smart pricing.’ Smart pricing is Google’s attempt to try and level the playing field. If, for example, you suddenly start to earn massive amounts of revenue from certain clicks, it will somehow rebalance the playing field so that the clicks are better reflected in the actual return on investment for the advertiser.

At the end of the day you need to be delivering clicks through AdSense that are of value to the advertiser. That’s what a lot of people forget about when they start looking at the highest paying AdSense keywords.

Having said all that, you can use these keyword lists to generate lots and lots of revenue. I’ve done this myself on some of my sites and now earn over one thousand dollars every three days. Google pays me lots of money to place their ads on my sites. I’m getting clicks that some of them are worth a few dollars each. The key to it is to get great content. The list on its own is not enough.

So remember that you can succeed with this strategy, but don’t forget to actually create excellent articles and content on your website that include these keywords; not too heavily, but just enough so that the ads displayed are the ones with the highest bids.

How to Save Money on the Adwords Network

Sunday, March 29th, 2009

Over the years I have had many accounts with Adwords, spending a small fortune with the Adwords service. So naturally I have picked up many cost saving tricks. I am aware that most people feel Adwords costs too much and delivers little results, this is completely untrue. Adwords is a service that is here to help us, so I have written this article to help web developers make the most out of the service.

1) Set your currency,

First and foremost, select the currency of which you locally trade in. You may think its wise to start your Adwords account in USD, but if you do not live in the USA you may get a shock when you find how much you have been charged.

2) Use negative keywords,

You are using the Adwords service to generate website traffic, so obviously you want the right traffic to generate revenue. Start by using negative keywords for people whom you do not want to click on your advert, the best place to start is the keyword “free”. As I doubt you want to waste money on traffic that will not generate revenue.

3) Make a strict daily budget

Make sure you have set out a daily budget, Adwords generally advise a way out of proportion budget. After all most new Adwords customers have no idea how effective the advertising will be. Do not start off with a bang, your pocket will feel it.

Just as important as the budget, be careful with the CPC rate. I advise you to start with a low number, each click soon adds up very quickly. I actually found that by lowering my CPC rate by 50% I doubled my visitor count…

4) Check those clicks!

One of the most talked about problem with Adwords is, click fraud. There are two main types of click fraud: the first is when any one starts clicking away at your advertisements trying to waste your money. It is very hard to stop this kind of fraud, if you are a victim stop your ads and file a report to Google ASAP.

The second main issue is now that google allows Web Developers to earn money off their websites by placing ads (Adsense) .some Web Developers try to cheat the system by clicking on their ads as much as possible. The best way to stop this kind of fraud is check your page log, Adwords allow you to block out websites that you do
not want your advert to be placed on.

Adwords does not have many protections against Click fraud, although they do disable Adsense accounts who cheat. Google are very hesitant to refund the victims, if at all. Reports tell many organisations are actually suing Google to get their money back, so be careful.

In this article I have illustrated some of the most beneficial ways to save money when advertising with Adwords. My main advice to you is, do not go crazy with your spending. You may not see the results you are after, it does take a while to get to know Adwords. I have had many successful ad campaigns using the Adwords network. However I do advise to look around, with the ever growing popularity of MSN search you may actually find it much more affordable.

Gas Gift Cards

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

Gas gift cards are issued by gasoline companies to accommodate their customers. These gift cards are often good for shopping not only for fuel but also non-fuel products. They may not be the most attractive gift, but they are one of the most popular gifts to give in the United States. This is because of the high cost of gas. Wouldn’t you be delighted not to have to pay for your gas the next time you need some?

With gas prices on the rise, it’s nice to know that you can charge your gas and not have to worry about paying immediately. Some gas stations offer discounts if their gas card is used. Other’s offer points and are affiliated with major credit card companies. The company benefits because the card has to be used frequently to acquire enough points to redeem them for merchandise.

Not only are gasoline companies selling gift cards, but retailers like Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club have also joined the ranks of retailers who offer them. You can use the card for any product Wal-Mart, and save three cents per gallon if you purchase gasoline in Wal-Mart or Sam’s stations located in their lots. Most gasoline companies offer gas gift cards, and they can be purchased online. Depending on the card you purchase, an application may be necessary and a review of the buyer’s credit.

Seecrets on Website Promotion: Results of Open Source Marketing Plan after 2 Months

Sunday, March 1st, 2009

This author’s open-source marketing plan, as announced on June 29, 2005, is mainly for small and medium-sized businesses. By keeping it simple, this author hoped it can be useful to businesses with a limited budget, can get “more bang for the buck”.

The objective is to gain 3000+ inbound links within one year by sending:

A. 48 free-reprint articles in one year.

B. 4 free e-books in one year.

C. 4 free software similar to corporate gifts or freebies

D. 6 press releases in one year.

Getting many inbound links is vital as a hits generator – sources for new visitors. Sometimes, internet users on reading the articles, e-books or using the freebies may visit the originating site directly.

The site www.seecrets.biz started in early May 2005 with one article. In the following two months, ten articles were submitted and two press releases were issued. All these are available at this author’s site with the dates concerned.

After two months, over 300 inbound links were obtained. It is difficult to be accurate because Google does not list back-links from sites with PageRank of less than three. During the first few weeks, counting was easy when the number was less than 100.

The results from the Google, Yahoo and MSN search engines on July 9, 2005 at 0800GMT are as follows (the figures within the brackets represent the total competing pages):

“Seecrets” got 1(7570), 1(1040) and 1(3681).

“Stan seecrets” got 4(338), 1(215) and 1(737).

“Joe Nogood” got 4(694000), 8(1330) and 1(2447).

“Rebrand software” got NR(84000), 15(88800) and 11(31124).

“Open source marketing plan” got NR(26.7million), 10(5.2million) and 12(1million).

“Open source marketing plan” got 3&4, 6&7 and 2 through the Press Release sites.

(Please note that “NR” means not ranked in the top 20.).

The first three keywords (seecrets, stan seecrets and joe nogood) are important to this author’s site’s brand.

The keywords (joe nogood, rebrand software and open source marketing plan) were only introduced in late June 2005. The last two are relevant to the site’s activities.

These are the preliminary results. Readers can always inspect this author’s website and decide that no unfair or illegal methods were used. Knowledgeable readers should be able to see the meta-tags with ease.

This author’s take

Whether these results are good or not, it is up to the readers to decide. It can be a useful guide for website owners to improve upon and hopefully report back to the Internet community.

This is the first step of a long journey. There will be more mountains to climb, battles to fight, obstacles to overcome and so forth. This author is satisfied that the chosen brand has taken root. Whether this root can grow to support a giant redwood tree or just a bush that will wither away in the next few years, is yet to be seen.

This author wishes to thank the fine people behind rushprnews.com, isnare.com, ezinearticles.com, bloggeroff.com and many others for making this tumultuous journey for this techie-turned-Internet writer, a smoother one.

The Joe Nogood Gift Store Story – Joe runs for Political Office (Episode 2)

[Author's note: Joe Nogood and JoeNoGood.com are fictional. It is an experiment to portray current events and issues (where angels fear to tread) in a lighthearted perhaps entertaining manner. Below is a conversation between Joe and his longtime buddy, Stan.]

Joe: Let’s go and visit DMV.

Stan: DMV? You’ve just renewed your driving license last week.

Joe: Not the Department of Motor Vehicles, you dummy. The Drunkards of Mountain View – they’re so fixated on brandy, burgundy, booze stuff (referring to their search algorithms’ names). They are drunk with their own success.

Stan: What name will they use for their next algorithm?

Joe: BS.

Stan: But, BS is an organic matter. What has that got to do with booze?

Joe: Ah, the Danes use plenty of that stuff to make methane gas. By using genetically modified bacteria, you can use this BS stuff to make ethane gas, the precursor of ethanol – pure 200-proof alcohol.

Stan: Why visit these drunkards then?

Joe: All their rankings stuff are BS. Somehow, they managed to convince the whole world and make a lot of money in the process. They may provide a few pointers on how to be President.

Stan: President?

Joe: By using DMV in our pages, DMV is related to roads and being a middle-of-the-road candidate, we’ll occupy all top 100 rankings for all our web pages. Joe I. Nogood is running for President with the slogan “I NoGood”.

Stan (thinking to himself): Joe has a way of making the irrelevant, relevant. Just maybe, Joe will make a great President. Maybe.

[To be continued]

Stan Seecrets Postulate:

Where we are heading is the same – six-feet under.

In between, we communicate.

Article Directories: A Match Made In Heaven?

Saturday, February 28th, 2009

Most marketers realize today that content is king and there is no faster vehicle to increase traffic and receive publicity than writing articles.

This is where the article directory comes into play. Writers are able to submit their articles to these online databases where content hungry webmasters, blogsters, and other internet marketers can find free content for their websites, newsletters, and ezines.

Article writers gain credibility as an expert in their field as well as gaining a link back to their website. Link popularity is increased with the added advantage that this can be achieved with a low advertising budget and very little effort.

Hence this marriage was made in heaven. Article directories are not only provided fresh content on a daily basis (thereby scoring high in the search engines), but are also given the opportunity to build considerable revenue from affiliate programs (such as Google, Clickbank, and others), as well as building an extensive opt-in email list of potential customers.

Another by-product of having an article directory is the chance to gain knowledge of subjects other than one’s own interests. Articles on the arts, business, communications, computers, health, fashion, finance, food, home and family, politics, recreation, self-improvement, travel, vehicles, and writing are all available to read at one’s leisure.

Meeting other writers, publishers, editors, and programmers can really expand your horizon. The ability to joint-venture with these parties can prove to be more than a bonus.

It’s a win-win situation for both the article writer as well as the article directory owner that continues to grow exponentially each day.

How to Conduct Link Campaigns – and be Successful!

How to actually build link exchange e-mails – and be successful!

I get a lot of link exchange e-mails. If you’re a newbie at Internet Marketing, or simply have no idea what I’m talking about, these e-mails are from other webmasters who want to exchange links with you. Exchanging links helps promote both sites as search engines will spider these links and it will increase the link popularity of both sites involved.

I, however, seem to get the worst link exchange e-mails on Earth. When I myself send out link exchange e-mails, I receive a much higher return then any of these people ever will because they simply DO NOT KNOW HOW TO EXCHANGE LINKS.

When you’re sending an e-mail to an established website, which already has an income, and you are just starting your first site or putting another one online, it’s important to follow some simple rules.

1. Introduce yourself, your website, and what you do.

2. State you’ve posted a reciprocal link BEFORE e-mailing the webmaster for the link exchange.

3. KINDLY ask for a link back. And never forget – use spell-checked, easy to read plain English!

Those are the three golden rules of link exchanges. It seems so many people no longer follow the golden rules – they’re rude, they say nothing of what their website does, sells, or manages, and they NEVER post a reciprocal link beforehand.

Not to mention – some people say they post your link, then don’t and never get back to you! Or use a robots.txt file to block access to their link pages, so their links to you may BE there – but the engines will never see it.

Such sneaky SEO tactics should be spit upon. For instance, here is an example of a link exchange e-mail I received in my inbox today.

Dear SiteMaster!

Its not the spam. Its exclusive and limited in time proposal.

I have the site with stable PageRank5 over the long time, and this site takes one of the first places in Yahoo and MSN and has good position in Google.

I’m the editor of this site.

Subject matter of my site – Furniture.

I propose you to exchange links with my site because I think that both of us will be in profit from this.

If you are interested in my proposition – please, let me know.

I am waiting for your prompt reply.

Best regards!

(Name removed so sender will be less embarrassed)

This is awful. Pathetic. The webmaster doesn’t even post his website URL in the e-mail – so how the hell am I supposed to look for my link? No, of course. He didn’t post one before e-mailing me.

So obviously this guy will never get a link back from me unless he smacks himself in the head, and realizes how to actually use the proper link exchange e-mail format.
Not only will this guy get almost no links back – the ones he will get will be from websites he may not even want to associate with. But because this looks like just a bulk, random mailing to random people, this webmaster will likely never even check what websites he exchanges with.

This is called quantity over quality linking – and this is the WORST example of it I have ever seen.

I spit upon thee!

Next in the list – and oh buddy do I ever have a long list of spit-upon-thees – is the people who write a great letter but paste a link to some stupid form to fill out if you want to exchange with them.

These automatic scripts are annoying, time-consuming, and sometimes very useless. A lot of the time when I need to build new links to new websites (mine or a client) I’ll use a number of these forms in the same day to get some immediate links built. Yes, some of these scripts allow the link to be posted right away. But – a computer is only as smart as it’s maker. A lot of the time, the script might have trouble picking up the link (especially if the link is placed somewhere with dynamic content, or the link is on a forum like PhpBB). Other times the script simply comes back with some useless error!

Automatic linking scripts – I spit upon thee!

Next on the shit list is services that connect webmasters to each other to link (I cannot name names as I might get sued). Now, I have nothing against the service; nothing whatsoever. What I have something against is the people that peruse these sites looking for link partners. They’ll post your link, e-mail you for a link back, etc. I’ll post their link, say thanks, and they’ll never respond. So who’s to say that they keep the link up or not?

No one. Usually the link is pulled a week or two later, and good luck getting ahold of the person who e-mailed you.

More “automatic” link building services. I spit upon thee as well!

Do you all want a REAL taste of how to link? Let me show you. This is a link exchange e-mail I have used in the past to ask for links back – and had very good turn arounds with.

Now THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is a REAL link exchange document. Please, before you begin e-mailing useless crap to random people’s inboxes, next time, think of this and use some wit and intuition. It will get you a long way – and remember, if you link with higher quality sites instead of many low-key sites, you will rise up through the rankings faster. And ALWAYS check the site you’re linking with – they may have some content you disapprove of, or might practice shady SEO tactics like link farms. Any association with a link farm (or even some forms of black hat SEO) will get you banned from search engines – permanently!
